Table of Hands for Sasi Knits
Titled “Sasi Knits Studio,” we wanted guests to feel like they were immersing themselves into the world of Sasi Knits at this event, by giving them a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to develop everyone’s favorite local knitwear brand. We set up a photo backdrop, taped some archived swatches on the wall, displayed the knitting machine with Sasi Knits’ own collection of yarns, offered a small retail area, and gathered people around our table of bites.
The menu was inspired by Sasi Knits’ food-related product names — Sarai (seaweed in Thai), Biscuit and Mochi. We wanted to do our bites in a playful way that would still incorporate these ingredients. The onion structure was an ode to Sasi Knits’ Onion top, while the colorful somen noodles represented the ball of yarns found in Sasi’s studio.
